June 8 to June 12. This was a first in several ways. I agreed to co-host the RVing Women's monthly event and we were dry camping without a clubhouse. Lake a Pardee Reservoir is a well-maintained private campground about 50 miles south east of Sacramento. Thankfully it wasn't too hot and even rained on and off during the 4 days. I was grateful because it can easily get over 100 in this part of California and June and with the 4 animals and no electricity I was worried.
First of all, I really did nothing in the way of planning or organizing. Carol is a wizard in planning large camping get together and I just tried to follow along. I'm good at setting up, cleaning up, and taking direction. I heard and read a lot of positive feedback about the event. They've been going to this particular location for more than a decade.
We checked in early afternoon on Thursday. After parking, I decided my spot wasn't the best for being able to "work" at the group area and also keep an eye on the dogs so I moved to another spot that ended up being just perfect. Other than not having any hookups, we really had a great time. I can boondock for a few days but it starts to get hard after the 3rd day.
Things we did while there -- walked around the marina, walked up to the store and picked up a hamburger to go, roasted hot dogs at the group campfire, and relaxed a lot.
